The minimum hardware requirements of current version:
The individual boards that comprise the data logger are stacked together through the Expansion connector of each board. MINI-MAX/51-C2 microcontroller board is the bottom board and drives the operation of the data logger.
A host PC sends commands to Data Logger
using an RS232 COM port. Data Logger receives the host command request, executes
and sends a reply to the PC.
RS-232 communication parameters: 57600 baud, 8 bit, no parity, 1 stop bit.
A Windows application called Log.exe is the graphical user interface to the data logger. Source code of the firmware log.bas is provided in BASIC ( Using BASCOM51 BASIC Compiler ).
Multimedia Card (MMC) in the data logger can be upgraded to up to 4 Gigabytes for longer/faster data logging
Note: Datalogger continues to log data even when not connected to the PC
