2x17 0.1' Dual Row Header Breakout Board, Long Ejector, Feet

General Description

This breakout board brings all 34 pins of its male dual row header out to screw terminal blocks for easy connection and prototyping work. Each pin is also brought to solder pads (3 per pin) at 0.1' spacing, allowing easy addition of single row or dual row pin headers. The solder pads are arranged in such a way that you can add an additional 2 x 17 header to the breakout board to bring all the signals back out on a ribbon cable if so desired (essentially forming a 'T' connection).

This break out board is perfect for experimentation and prototype work, as well as for use in the educational laboratory. It is well-suited for interfacing with I/O cards, data acquisition (DAQ) equipment, and any other device that uses a 2x17 34-position header connector. A dual row header is sometimes referred to as an 'IDC Header', 'IDC connector', or 'ribbon cable connector'. A breakout board is sometimes referred to as a 'transition module', 'terminal board', or 'interface module'.

For mounting on a panel, we suggest the rubber feet version (-FT), 1/4' nylon standoffs under the mounting holes, and #6 screws.

DIN Rail Mount Version

The BRK2X17 is also available with DIN rail mounting clips for quick and convenient mounting where DIN rail is used. Product numbers ending with -DIN come with DIN clips already installed and ready to mount. The clips allow mounting on standard 35mm rail as well as 32mm rail.
