Numitron Displays were popular in the 1970’s and came into vogue between the NIXIE tube and LED technology eras. They can be filtered to display any color. Applications include aircraft instrument readouts, instrumentation displays, weigh scale, gas pump readout, etc. Most Numitrons have low voltage +5VDC segments and can be easily driven from TTL logic sources such as SN7447 BCD Decoder / Driver, clock chip, MINI-MAX and PRO-MAX boards.
Various colored plexiglass filters can be used to change the color of Numitron displays.
