General Description
Right-angle adapters allow connections to be made in tight spaces, where there isn't room for a standard cable connection. Use these compact, handy adapters to re-route the connection to provide more connection space. All corresponding pins are connected: pin 1 to pin 1, pin 2 to pin 2, etc. Other names for this product include 'DB9 corner adapter' and 'DB9 90-degree adapter'.
This adapter is available in several connector gender / mounting hardware combinations. Typically the Thumb Screw end of the adapter connects to the equipment, and the Jack Screw end connects to a DSUB cable. In this way, the adapter Thumb Screws can thread into the Jack Screws on the equipment, and the cable Thumb Screws can thread into the Jack Screws on the right angle adapter.
